RE/SISTERS

A short film to introduce the new Barbican Centre exhibition “RE/SISTERS: A Lens on Gender and Ecology”. Highlighting the links between the oppression and violence against women and the degradation of the planet. Featuring around 50 international women and gender non-conforming artists, the film and exhibition explores how women’s understanding of our environment has often resisted the logic of the patriarchal societies and extractivist economies. A visual poem aiming to celebrate and push us in the direction of a collective liberation from all forms of oppression. Written, edited and directed by Paolina Stefani
